Filing Your Accounts

From 01/02/2009 new late filing penalties will be applied to encourage directors of limited companies to file their annual accounts on time. The penalties for private companies and LLP's will be:

Late :
by not more than 1 month £150
1 month to three months £375
more than 3 months less than 6 £750
More than 6 months £1,500

For accounting periods commencing on or after 6 April 2008 the filing deadlines were reduced from 10 months to 9 months for private companies and LLP's.
